At Bare Bonz Custom Shop Guitars we are unashamedly Canadian. We are polite to a fault, love hockey and back bacon. We have a climate that ranges from temperate rainforest through desert to Arctic Tundra - Canada has it all. Being such a vast country outsiders tend to forget the many nuances to the Canadian story -- and British Columbia is one of them. BC has more mountains, valleys, rivers and streams that you can shake a [hardwood!] stick at. Above all, it has trees. Lots and lots of them. As well as bears, eagles, orcas, cougars, deer, elk, wolves and beavers.

The point is that BC has abundant forests, and from pristine forests comes carefully managed and harvested hard woods. We are home to some of the finest luthier wood species on the planet: Cedar, Maple, Poplar, Alder, Birch to name just a few.

Bare Bonz Custom Shop guitars has the advantage in that we live here, and have access to fine guitar quality wood. We can source some of the most exotic looking wood you will ever see.

We ship worldwide

Based on Vancouver Island ( that big rock on the Pacific coast, north of San Francisco and Seattle in the USA if that helps place us) we are approached for guitar builds from around the world. The process is really no different other than we have to ship the finished guitar to you through an international courier of your choice. The airport is only 10 minutes away. It still takes 9 weeks to build your instrument with an eagle eye....so bear with us while we beaver away in our igloo, eh?.
